FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- - -THANK YOU

AND THE SHOW GOES ON AT FAIRGROUNDS SQUARE MALL

Three days remain to visit the NAPA Auto Parts 24th Annual Reading Racing Reunion & Car Show presented by Lee Myles Transmissions. One-hundred and fourteen race cars of various divisions are on display and the show is free to the public. Nightly driver interviews, book signings, driver autographs and photo opportunities with the drivers are just some of the activities. Of course, always a hit at this show is the display by the Reading Racing Historical Society located just outside Boscov's Department Store. Gerald Chamberlain along with many other favorite drivers from the Reading Fairgrounds will be on hand for the Legends Reunion on Friday night, followed by the Lee Myles Racing Movie Party at the Temple Fire Company. Randy's Raceway is in the Mall and they're set to present the Pennsylvania Tyco Oval Championship for HO cars taking place on Saturday.

On Saturday at 2 PM, a walking tour of the Fairgrounds property will take place to locate key landmarks such as the victory lane, the flag stand, the turns and the announcers stand that once occupied the 64 acres of the Reading Fairgrounds Speedway.

Check out the schedule of events for all the activities. There is also an event t-shirt and program book to salute the memory of the Reading Fairgrounds Speedway. The last checker flag fell at Reading in June of 1979 with Dave Kelly winning the finale.
