READING, PA - The Reading Eagle and WEEU 830 AM have signed on as presenting sponsors of the 25th annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show.

The show is set for Feb. 21-27 at the Fairgrounds Square Mall located on 5th Street Highway in Reading, Pa., the former site of the famed Reading Fairgrounds Speedway.

The event will be known as the 25th annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show presented by Reading Eagle and WEEU 830 AM.

"The Reading Eagle and WEEU have a long history in the area's short-track racing circles," said event organizer Brett Deyo. "We're proud to have them on board during the show's 25th anniversary celebration."

WEEU - 830 on the AM dial in Berks County and beyond - will broadcast live for two hours from the show on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 24 from 3-5 p.m. The Reading Eagle will provide pre- and post-event coverage in its sports pages.

"Having WEEU at the show will only add to the exposure generated for race teams, vendors and exhibitors," Deyo said.

During the week of Feb. 21-27, the mall will be jammed with current-day race cars representing many divisions and sanctioning groups, vintage and restored race cars, speedway exhibits and displays and vendors. Show awards - including the first Don Marks Memorial Contribution to Motorsports Award - will be distributed during the popular BASH Racing Party to be held Friday night, Feb. 26 at the Temple Fire Company, just blocks from the mall, beginning at 9 p.m.

The BASH Party will feature music for dancing, a cash bar, racing movies (including 2009 footage from the Pennsylvania Dual-Track circuit) and plenty of bench racing.
