Advantage Financial and Cradle Rock Developers to sponsor NES Rookies

New Egypt, NJ-As the season draws nearer most drivers are going over their cars and routinely preparing for the 2008 season as they have always done in the past. However, there is no routine for a driver who has never raced before.
 
For the 11th straight season the New Egypt Speedway will host the rookie division throughout the first 10 weeks of the season. And once again, Advantage Financial and Cradle Rock Developers will sponsor the class of 2008. “Gene Stravinsky and Mike Lyons have once again stepped up to the plate at NES. These two guys really love racing and know just how important it is to get new blood into the sport and we can’t thank them enough for being the backbone of our rookie series once again,” expressed track co-owner Bill Miscoski.
 
Some of New Egypt’s rookie classes have produced some pretty well-known talent over the years. All-time sportsman division winner Rich Scagliotta, two-time NES modified winner Dominick Buffalino, and 358 modified standout Jason Hamilton are just some of the many drivers who have graduated from the Advantage Financial/Cradle Rock Developers Rookie Series over the years. Last year’s class was simply dominated by rookie sensation Danny Bouc. Bouc won eight of the nine features that were held including seven in a row.
 
Some of the drivers who have already registered for the 2008 Rookie Class are Stephen Lane, James Watts, Andrew Visinski, Kevin Vaclavicek, Gabe Fox, Rob Stump, Chris Allen Jr. are some of the driver who have already registered for this year’s rookie class.
 
All drivers who plan on running in the 2008 rookie division are required to attend practice day on Saturday, April 12. Billy Pauch along with head flagger Warren Alston will be conducting a mandatory driver’s meeting at 10am to assist all rookies, where they will talk about on-track procedures and answer any questions from the first-year drivers. Pit gates open at 8am while cars take to the track at noon for the free to the public practice session on April 12.
