BPG TRI-TRACK SERIES:  BUTLER AND CREW DEDICATE NEW EGYPT SERIES WIN TO CHARLIE BRAY

New Egypt Speedway opened their 2009 racing season with round two of the BPG Racing Tri-Track series 2009. Gary Butler charged to the front running his 358 small block powered modified, equipped for the first time with sail panels. Billy “The Kid” Pauch, the all time leader in modified victories at New Egypt Speedway’s history, finished second after an exciting late race duel with Butler. It was the third career modified win for Butler at NES

An emotional celebration ensued during the victory lane presentation. Butler and his entire crew dedicated the victory to Charlie Bray, a very close racing friend of the entire race team. In unison the entire team pointed skyward letting everyone know there friend Charley Bray was there with them and watching over the team.

BPG Tri-Track Series 2009 promoter Dave Adams presented modified drivers Jimmy Chester and Ron John Kozon with a bevy of sponsor contingency merchandise after the race. Adams has worked hard to add sponsorship to the series and expects the already total of over $13,000 in contingencies to increase in future weeks.

Ron John Kozon, one of two drivers awarded the bonus prizes, received a case of Pepsi from Cold Spring Beverages, a set of line wrenches from Jones Racing Products, a Case of Joe Gibbs synthetic racing oil supplied by Enders Racing Engines, a set of Ignition wires from Mason Racing Ignitions, five gallons of racing fuel from Insinger Performance Race Fuels, a $50 dollar gift certificate from Lineman Racing, and also a $50 dollar gift certificate from Atlantic Plastic Media Blast.

Jimmy Chester, the second lucky driver, received a right rear American Race Tire from Lias Tires, a camshaft regrind from Enders Racing Engines, a $50 dollar gift certificate from GME, a $50 dollar gift certificate from Zemco Headers, and two sets of spark plugs from Metal Fab Pro Race Shop.

The third race in the BPG Racing Tri-Track Series 2009 will be the George Wingate “Old School” Classic with twin 20 lap features for the modifieds and is scheduled for Tuesday June 23 at Bridgeport Speedway.

Bridgeport Speedway is a 5/8 mile dirt speedway known as the “Fastest Dirt Track in the East”.

Wednesday June 24 is slated as the rain date for this race.
