URC Sprints and Tri Track Series Modifieds Celebrate Fourth of July at NES
URC Makes Only Appearance of the Season at New Egypt Speedway

New Egypt, NJ -- On Saturday July 3, the New Egypt Speedway welcomes the URC Sprints for their only appearance at the track of the season on a night sponsored by H&H Gas. Joining the URC Sprints on the track will be the Big Block Modifieds in their “Yankee Classic 40” as part of the New Egypt and Bridgeport Speedway’s Tri Track Series and a vintage car exhibition race.

Not only is this the only appearance by the URC Sprints at New Egypt Speedway this season, it is the final regular appearance by URC standout Trevor Lewis after he announced last week he was leaving URC to go 410 Sprint racing. Lewis is the fast time record holder for URC at New Egypt Speedway and the defending race winner. Joining Lewis on the track will be defending champion and current URC point’s leader JJ Grasso. Grasso is looking for win number three in a row after winning the URC features at both Delaware International Speedway and Grandview Speedway.  Local drivers Davey Sammons, Jonathan Swanson, and Robbie Stillwaggon all look to give Lewis and Grasso a run for their money on their home track.

The Big Block Modifieds will be in action in a 40-lap feature Tri Track Series event. Defending champion and current Tri Track Series points leader Rick Laubach looks to continue his dominance of the series at his home track, while Bridgeport Speedway invaders Wade Henderickson, Richie Pratt and Ryan Watt look to rain on his parade. New Egypt regulars Jimmy Horton, Frank Cozze, Keith Hoffman and Billy Pauch will also be looking to out-dual Laubach and their Bridgeport rivals to take the victory. An added bonus for the Modifieds will be the running of their match races. Watch as our New Egypt regulars go head to head in one on one competition to take the title of Match Race Champion.

Following the races there will be a huge fireworks display to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend. During intermission there will be many give aways for our fans as well as the Modified drivers drawing for their starting positions and signing autographs. To show our patriotism for the Fourth of July weekend all fans in attendance will receive an American Flag upon their entrance into the Speedway.

Pits gates open at 3 p.m. with the front gates opening at 4p.m. Price of admission for adults is $25; senior and military $23; teens ages 12-15 $12; and children 11 and under free. For more information visit our website at www.newegyptspeedway.net or call the Speedway office at (609) 758-1900.
