Schedule Change: Big Diamond Speedway Dan Drobnick Welding Enduro Set for June 19 & Test and Tune Session Added - Racing Resumes This Friday, June 3

MINERSVILLE, PA - The next event of the Dan Drobnick Welding Enduro Series for Big Cars (6/8-Cylinder) and Small Cars (4-Cylinder) plus a Ladies event has been pushed up one week to Sunday, June 19 at Big Diamond Speedway.  The event had previously been scheduled for June 26.

To accompany the schedule change, a test and tune session has been added to the June 19 program and is open to all divisions. The open practice will hit the track in advance of the Enduro events. Pit admission is $20 and grandstand admission is $7. The track time is being made available at the request of local drivers. Additionally, it will be an opportunity for invaders to turn laps at Big D in advance of the Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour 'Anthracite Assault' to be run on Wednesday, June 22.

Once again, Big Cars (6/8-Cylinder) and Small Cars (4-Cylinder) will go 100 laps around Big Diamond on June 19, while the Ladies will race a number of laps determined by participation. Pre-registration is underway now - $50 in advance or $65 the day-of event. Forms have been posted on the Big Diamond Speedway website at www.bigdiamondspeedway.net. Drivers will earn their starting positions in the order pre-registration forms are received.

Enduro race director Jake Smulley reminds competitors that all cars must be outfitted with a functional transponder. The speedway has only a very limited number of transponders for rent. Those interested in a rental should call Chuck Detweiler at 570.385.3615.

All transponder numbers should be registered with Big Diamond officials one week prior to the event by e-mailing Big Diamond head scorer Penny Guldin via e-mail: pennyguldin@yahoo.com. Please send name, division, car number and transponder number.

Racing resumes at Big Diamond Speedway this Friday (June 3). The Station House 358-Modifieds (qualifying and 25-lap feature), U.S.S. Achey Sportsman (qualifying and 20-lap feature) and Wooden Keg Tavern Roadrunners (qualifying and 20-lap feature) are set for competition at the Schuylkill County oval.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7:55 p.m. and the first heat at 8:15 p.m. All Friday shows feature an 8:15 p.m. start time this year.  Grandstand admission is $13 (Adults), $10 (Seniors & Military), $5 (Kids 6-12) and FREE for those five years of age and under.
