QUICK RESULTS ON SATURDAY NIGHT RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

CLAY BUTLER AND BRETT KRESSLEY SHARE WIN IN OPENING 30-LAP TP TRAILERS MODIFIED FEATURE AT GRANDVIEW ON SATURDAY NIGHT; MIKE MAHANEY GETS HIS FIRST MODIFIED WIN; LOU EGRIE EARNS WIN IN 20-LAP BRC LATE MODEL FEATURE AND MARK KEMMERER WINS SPORTSMAN FEATURE

                $30,000 TO WIN FREEDOM 76 UP NEXT, SEPTEMBER 16TH

 BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 10, 2017 ….. There were two winners declared in the first TP Trailers Modified feature on WNPV Radio Champion’s Night Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. In the 30-lap Modified feature, rained out on August 12th, both veteran Brett Kressley and relative newcomer Clay Butler were declared winners as a result of some confusion regarding a late race caution. For Butler it was his first career win at Grandview and made him the 13th different Modified feature winner of the season. For Kressley it was his second win of the 2017 season.

                In the regularly scheduled 30-lap TP Trailers Modified feature New Yorker Mike Mahaney earned his first win and became the 14th different Modified feature winner of the season.

                Mark Kemmerer became a repeat winner in the Sportsman division winning the 25 lap feature.

        ;        Lou Egrie was able to earn his first win of the season taking the top spot in the 20-lap BRC Late Model feature.

        ;        Jared Umbenhauer finished behind the two winners in the first Modified feature of the night. Frank Cozze and Steve Swinehart followed. In the second Modified feature of the night Ryan Watt came home second to Mike Mahaney. Craig VonDohren finished third with Duane Howard and Jared Umbenhauer grabbing fourth and fifth.

                Finishing behind Kemmerer in the Sportsman feature was Kyle Lilick. Rookie Louden Reimert came home third. Brad Arnold and Mike Lisowski took fourth fifth.

                And the Late Model feature race Bryon Sipe took a strong second to winner Egrie. Drew Weisser grabbed third followed by Kyle Merkel and Steve Todorow.

The 47th Annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic in Honor of Bruce Rogers is set for Saturday, September 16th.  The will pay $30,000 to the winner and is expected to attract many of the top names in dirt track Modified stock car racing. Action will get underway at 7 p.m.

                The night before the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series will be in action along with the Sportsman racing in the Freedom 38’er offering $1500 to the winner. Modifieds entered in the Freedom 76 will be allowed to participate in practice sessions. Adult admission is $12, youngsters 6 thru 11 pay just $5 and under 6 are admitted free. Advance tickets, $35 for adults, for the Freedom 76 will be available Friday night.

                The Freedom 76 has a September 23rd rain date while the Friday night events have no rain date.
