The much anticipated 11th Annual DIRTcar 100 lap TRAFFIC JAM will take
place at the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, July 16.  The top
stars of DIRTcar will battle the local favorites for 100 laps on the
"hill".   A highlight of the Wednesday night TRAFFIC JAM will be the
return of Kenny Brightbill as he makes his first Big Block Modified
appearance of the season.    Brightbill, a true legend of the sport,
will be driving his own #19 with sponsorship support from Chad Sinon/BPG
Racing out of Blue Bell, PA.   Sinon is a well known figure in the sport
today, sponsoring numerous race cars, special racing events and various
novelty promotions.  The racing community if very grateful that Sinon is
playing a big part in supporting this legend of modified racing on his
return to the track.  For fans attending Grandview Speedway tonight
(July 12) don't be surprised if the Shillington Slingshot is in the pits
looking to take some test and tune laps.    Advance tickets for the
DIRTcar TRAFFIC JAM will be on sale tonight as well and spectators will
receive a $2 discount if tickets are purchased in advance.  General
admission tickets are $22 on race night or $20 if purchased in advance.
On race night, if you're looking for that $20 ticket price, just be
wearing a Thunder on the Hill, Grandview, Bridgeport or New Egypt Speed
t-shirt  when purchasing your ticket and you too  will receive a $2
savings as well.  This is all part of the FAN FUN Night planned on
Wednesday, July 16.

Time trials will kickoff the program at 7:30 PM followed by a series of
qualifying heats a consolation and the 100 lap TRAFFIC JAM.  Also on the
program will be the Garden State Vintage Stock Cars offering a pre-race
display and an on track race.

Joining Kenny Brightbill on the "hill" Wednesday night will be local
favorites Jeff Strunk, Ryan Godown, Doug Manmiller, Billy Pauch, Keith
Hoffman, Jimmy Horton, Rick Laubach, Craig VonDohren and Kevin Hirthler
to name a few.  On the roster for the DIRTcar organization is Brett
Hearn, Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Alan Johnson, Justin Haers, Steve
Paine, Dale Planck, Jimmy Phelps and Danny Johnson.

Advance ticket holders will be permitted to enter the grandstand at 4:30
PM, one-half hour prior to general admission tickets going on sale.
This will allow advance ticket  holders to have their first selection
and choice of  seats.  But for all others, don't worry, more then 5,000
seats circle the Grandview Speedway and every seat offers an up close
view of the always exciting action on the speedway.

The fans just love the popular Inside/Out Promotion where race fans have
an opportunity to watch warm-ups from the infield.  Those spectators
purchasing advance tickets may also sign-up for this absolutely free
activity.  Don't be surprised if a guest driver or two joins your group
to watch warm-ups.

Several years back, the Thunder Series introduced FanFest and that will
be returning for the Wednesday night, July 16 event as well.   Prior to
the feature event and after the cars are staged on the homestretch,
every child accompanied by an adult will be invited to the homestretch
to meet and greet the 11th Annual TRAFFIC JAM starting field.

Also, one lucky advance ticket holder will be invited to waive the first
green flag of the night, that's right, from the flag stand with the
thundering modifieds roaring underneath.

Special give-aways and other Fan Fun stuff will make this event a night
to remember.

Part of this big night of racing is  the always exciting Garden State
Vintage Stocks Cars will offer a fine display as well as an exhibition

Don't forget, Grandview Speedway will be in action every Saturday night
(TONIGHT- -JULY 12th)  with a program of NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late
Models getting underway at 7:30 PM.  Grandview Speedway is located on
Passmore Road, just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, ten mile north
of Pottstown.  Please visit or for more information on coming events and
weekly attractions.
