FRED RAHMER PLANS THUNDER RUN WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presented by Lee Myles Auto Repairs will continue  their twentieth season Anniversary celebration  on Wednesday night, July 15 at the Grandview Speedway.   On the program will be the Triple Crown Thunder Thriller, a three division racing program that will showcase the 358 Modifieds, URC Sprints and the ARDC Wingless Midgets.   The 358 Modifieds and URC will compete in a series of qualifying events leading up to their 25 lap feature.  For the ARDC Wingless midgets,  their top twenty-six drivers will go to battle in their 25 lap main event.  

Fast Fred Rahmer of Salfordsville, PA is an expected entry for the URC Sprint portion of the show on Wednesday.   Rahmer, a nine time Thunder Series feature winner and a five time Thunder on the Hill sprint champion will be driving the powerful  Elmer Stoltzfus #00.   Rahmer  drove this car in the Rislone URC Sprint Nationals at Williams Grove on June 26  and delivered a solid fourth  place finish.  

Rahmer will have his work cut out for him, especially with URC's  "top guns" that include the Jersey Jet JJ Grasso, Trevor Lewis, Davey Sammons, Curt Michael and Chris Coyle.   Heats, a "B" Main and the 25 lap feature will be URC portion of the show.

The always popular 358 Modifieds will also be on the program with a series of heats, a consolation and a  25 lap feature.   Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard, MeMe Desantis, Kevin Hirthler, Billy Pauch Jr. and Rick Laubach are the top six drivers in the modified series point chase for the Thunder title.

Always a popular attraction, the ARDC Wingless midgets will be on the program with a twenty-six car field taking the green flag in their 25 lap feature.   
Steve Buckwalter,  Frank Polimeda,   Brett Arndt,  Eric Heydenreich, Drew Heistand, Tracy Readinger, Nick Wean,   Zack Martini,  Stephanie Stevens are just some of the drivers expected to battle for their stand on the Thunder Series  podium.

The Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will also salute the Living Legends of the Hill with many popular drivers from  ARDC, URC and the 358 modifieds past.  If you are a former driver or owner at Grandview, that  competing in the Modifieds, URC Sprints or 358 Modifieds, please call us at 443-513-4456.

The staff of Thunder on the Hill is pleased  to announce that the admission prices for the Wednesday, July 15 Triple Crown Thunder Thriller  will be an affordable  $20 for adults, $5 Children 6-11 and kids under the age of 6 will be admitted FREE.    If you are interested in going in the pits, the pit fee is $25 and a license is not required.

On Wednesday night, July 15, the gates will open at 5:30 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

Come out early and meet the Living Legends and take part in the Inside/Out Promotion, where you can watch warm-ups from the infield.  It is free, just sign up at the will call window.
