BPG ANNOUNCES BIG PAYOFF FOR BIG BLOCK MODIIFIED VS LATE MODEL CHALLENGE AT GRANDVIEW THURSDAY, AUGUST 13


BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports announced on Saturday their sponsorship support the Big Block Modified VS Late Model Challenge DASH to be added to the TRAFFIC JAM racing program. The NAPA Auto Parts 20th Anniversary Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presented by Lee Myles is planning their biggest Thunder show of 2009 and it all takes place at the Grandview Speedway on Thursday night, August 13. For the first time ever, the World of Outlaws Late Models will invade the Grandview Speedway, and they won't be alone as the Big Block Modifieds will be on this very BIG double-header racing program. Qualifying will take place for both the WoO Late Models and Big Block Modifieds all leading up to a 40 lap feature event for both divisions. BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports will spice up the racing program with a $1,000 to win, six lap Big Block Modified VS Late Model Challenge. That's right, all heat race winners from both divisions will complete in the six lap dash. The winner will pocket $1,000 with second earning $300 and third will collect $200. All heat race winners will receive $100 just to start the six lap BPG Big Block Modified VS Late Model Challenge.

Gates will open on race night at 5:30 PM with WoO Late Model time trial qualifying beginning at 7:15 PM.

Expected entries for the WoO Late Models include Josh Richards/Shinnston, WV, Chub Frank/Bear Lake, PA, Brady Smith/Solon Springs, WI, Tyler Reddick/Corning, CA, Steve Francis/Ashland, KY, Rick Eckert/York, PA, Shane Clanton/Locust Grove, GA, Clint Smith/Senoia, GA and local driver Chuck Schutz/Pottstown, PA will be looking to collect the $7,000 winner's share.

In the Big Block Modified division, look for Duane Howard, Jimmy Horton, Billy Pauch, Ryan Godown, Doug Manmiller, Jeff Strunk and Kevin Hirthler to chase the $4,000 first prize.

General Admission tickets are $30, children 6-11 $10 and kids under the age of six will be admitted for free. The pit fee is $35 and a license is not required.

Advance tickets are now on sale. Please make your check or money order payable to Grandview Speedway and mail your payment to Thunder Series 2009 11747 Winding Creek Drive Berlin, MD 21811. Please include a self-addressed and stamped envelope and your tickets will be mailed to you immediately. Advance ticket holders will be permitted to enter the grandstand area at 5 PM, one-half hour prior to general admission tickets going on sale.
