THUNDER SERIES NEARS SEASON FINALE SATURDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 17 AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
R.M. PALMER COMPANY JOINS THUNDER ON THE HILL SPONSOR ROSTER FOR
GRANDVIEW THUNDER 5-25'S

The ninety-first event of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing
Series presented by Lee Myles Transmissions & Auto Care
will close out their twentieth season at the Grandview Speedway.
Sponsors have always played a key role in the success of the Thunder
Series, headlined by leading sponsor NAPA Auto Parts and proudly
supported by Lee Myles Transmissions, COMDIAL Telephone Communications
and BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports.    Joining the list of sponsors
for 2009 is the R.M. Palmer Company of Reading, PA.     The Palmer
Company is the leader in seasonal chocolate novelties and they'll be
part of the Saturday, October 17 House of Thunder Halloween Party and
House of Thunder 5-25's at the Grandview Speedway. 

The Palmer Company is a leader in innovation, delighting the public with
contemporary products of unique design and with striking, full color
packaging.  Palmer's superb chocolate novelties are offered for your
enjoyment during the traditional holiday season.   The Palmer Company
was founded in 1948 in Sinking Spring, PA and their manufacturing
facility employs approximately 1,000 people in Berks County.  The Palmer
Company will sweeten the night of racing on Saturday, October 17,
providing sweet treats for many of the attending race fans.

The season finale will  showcase the Grandview Thunder 5-25's  in the
House of Thunder Halloween Party.    A treat to all fans is the
reasonable  $20 adult general admission price,  that breaks-down to just
$4 per 25 lap feature event.  As an added treat, the ARDC Wingless
Midgets will present a 15 lap Non-Winners Race,  plus the Garden State
Vintage Stock Car Race and the night cap, a MONSTER SMASH Demolition
Derby.    All this and more treats on the Hill Saturday night, October
17.    Race time is 6 PM with  the gates to the House of Thunder
squeaking open  at 4 PM.

The Grandview Thunder 5-25's will include the Nasty NASCAR Modifieds,
the Scary Sprints of URC,  the Monster Midgets of ARDC, the Ghostly
Legends and the Spooky Sportsman Stock Cars.    More then one-hundred
drivers will be on hand and  howling to win the season finale.  Of
course, plenty of close racing is expected and perhaps,  one of the
features could end in a dead heat.    The Grandview Thunder 5-25's  is a
features only program with  NO Time Trials, NO Heat Races,  NO
Qualifying, just five awesome feature events in one night of racing.
General admission for adults is just $20, children 6-11  $5  and
children under six will be admitted for free.    The pit fee is $25 and
a license is not required.

Spectators of all ages are invited to dress up for the Halloween Party
with prizes being awarded.   All spectators in Halloween costumes will
be invited to join in the victory lane photo at the end of the night
with the five different winners.

Come early, if you dare and stay late as the MONSTER SMASH Demolition
Derby will eventually bring darkness to Grandview Speedway in 2009.
We're planning a fun night for all and hopefully, no one will get  too.
. . . . .  "carried away".

Some of the top names in racing will be on the Hill for this event
including Nasty NASCAR Modified drivers  Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, MeMe
DeSantis, Doug Manmiller, Craig VonDohren, Billy Pauch Jr. and Ryan
Godown.  Scary Sprint competitors include the "Jersey Jet"  JJ Grasso,
The "Wild Child" Josh Weller,  "Heart Attack Racings' Davey Sammons,
Chris  Coyle, Curt Michael, Kramer Williamson and rookie sensations Andy
Best, Jonathan Swanson and Eddie Wagner.   The Monster Midget roster
will include Brett Arndt, Steve Buckwalter, Tracy Readinger, Stephanie
Stevens, Frank Polimeda, Nick Wean, P.J. Gargiulo and Trevor Kobylarz to
name a few.   For the Ghostly Legends, expect  Tom Mayberry,  Lucas
Montgomery, Drew Weisser, Rick Miller, TJ Mayberry,  and in the Spooky
Sportsman, the headliner names just could be Craig Whitmoyer, Daryl
Dissinger, Tommy Carberry,  Bob Lineman and Mike Lyons.
