ROC MODIFIDS & SPRINT DOUBLE HEADER RETURN TO LINCOLN SPEEDWAY. . . .

ROUND TWO OF THE BATTLE AT LINCOLN SET FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT, JUNE 20

Round two of the  Battle At Lincoln  is fast approaching, and it all goes down  at sun down, Wednesday night, June 20.

The wildly successful event of 2011 featured  the return of the  big block modifieds  to the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA for their  first visit  in twenty-five years.    Added to the event was the MACH 1 Chassis sponsored 360/358 Sprint Challenge.  Ryan Godown won the history making event and collected $5,000 for the win in the 60 lap Race of Champions PPB modified  feature as   Aaron Ott made a late race pass to win the sprint main event.     Again in 2012, NAPA Auto Parts will present the Battle at Lincoln  with a return visit  to the “Pigeon Hills” of Central Pennsylvania on Wednesday night, June 20.  Gates will open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

Lincoln Speedway, located just several miles from Gettysburg is rich in history and the area is well known for memory making battles.   You can expect the same on Wednesday night, June 20.    The Race of Champions Big Block Modifieds brought to you by Pioneer Pole Building (PPB) will share the battle ground with the MACH 1 Chassis 358/360 Sprints in the block-buster doubleheader.     Don't expect to see the Confederate flag waiving, but instead, the NAPA Auto Parts banners will proudly fly during Round Two of  the Battle at Lincoln.

Ryan Godown is obviously the man to beat but he knows an army of competition will be on hand to challenge him for the win.   Duane Howard, Richie Pratt, Rick Laubach, Kevin Hirthler, Craig VonDohren,  Doug Manmiller, Billy Pauch,  Ryan Watt and Jimmy Horton are expected entries.      Stewart Friesen, Danny Johnson, Pat Ward, Bobby Varin, Matt Sheppard and Brian Weaver are also possible challengers coming from the North.    It's hard to predict who will be left standing at the end of this battle, but one thing is for sure, no single driver has a home track advantage.

Both the PPB ROC Modifieds and the MACH1 Chassis 358/360 Sprints will compete in qualifying events leading up to the 60 lap ROC Modified Feature and the 25 lap MACH1 Chassis 358/360 Sprint feature.  Time trials will NOT  be on this program  and the first of the qualifying  heat race events will take the green flag at 7:30 PM.

Pre-entries for this event are already being received and for the sprint cars includes Mark Smith,  Shane Stewart,  Nathan Berwager, Nick Schlauch,  Ryan Bohlke, Aaron Ott,  Cris Eash, Chad Trout, Jeff Rohrbaugh, Keith Prutzman, Niki Young, Kevin Nouse, Ryan Wilson, Tim Wagaman, Tim Stallings,  and Gerard McIntyre .  The MACH 1 sprint feature will go a distance of 25 laps, paying $2,500 to win and $250 just to take the green flag.

Thanks to the strong sponsorship support from NAPA Auto Parts, Pioneer Pole Buildings and MACH 1 Chassis, this star filled event will offer a very reasonable admission price of $22 for adults,  $20 Seniors,  $15 Students 12-17,  $5 for children 6-11 and children under the age of 6 will be admitted free.   The pit fee will be $30 and a pit license will not be required.   There is NO driver entry fee.

Lincoln Speedway is one of the premier weekly racing facilities with superb track conditions and it's just a downright comfortable place to enjoy a race.   Mark your calendar for Wednesday night, June 20  when the Stars Race Under The Stars at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA.

Facility Amenities:    Lincoln Speedway is a very popular and "fan friendly" track in the tri-state area, offering great unobstructed viewing from every seat in the grandstands.  The infield is open for watching the races by entering through the fourth turn tunnel.   The pits are asphalt with a slight elevation and great lighting so fans can watch all the pit action as well.   The three-eighth mile Lincoln Speedway offers it all, the high speeds that you would see a the "big tracks" with the flair and excitement of the short track "bull rings".  Located in the "Pigeon Hills" of Pennsylvania, Lincoln Speedway has it all.
