MIDDLETOWN, NY (June 1)……..June may be the time for grads and dads, but it’s also when the Saturday night racing heats up at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York. Four race meets highlight this month of speed at the historic five-eighths-mile Hard Clay track. It begins Saturday, June 7 when all five of Orange County’s racing divisions---Modifieds, 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks---will be in action on Little League Night. Sponsored by Gemini Automotive and McGannon Excavating, all Little Leaguers, boy and girls and their coaches, in uniform will be admitted free.

The following week, on Saturday, June 14, Diamond Hart, Harmony Sand & Gravel, and Fox 96.7/103.1 present another exciting five division racing program.

And then on Saturday, June 21, get ready for another session of Smash and Crash. In addition to four divisions of racing (the 358 Modifieds get the week off), the night closes with a Chet’s Garage Demolition Derby. Howard Johnson of Middletown and Tire King are the evening’s proud sponsors.

Closing out the month, on Saturday, June 28, all five racing divisions return for a full night of speedway excitement sponsored by Hig Fabrications, the Jerry Higbie Fan Club, and Graphic Center. With the midpoint of the season just around the corner, the track point races are expected to be closely contested as drivers in all five classes will be out to get to the top of the leader boards in their respective divisions.

General admission for the five division race meets and the demolition derby night is $17.00. Seniors age 60 and up and students 13-17 get $2.00 off General Admission tickets. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Parking on the Fairgrounds remains free. Racing begins promptly at 6:00 PM.

Ticket prices in the unique Drive-In area are the same as General Admission, plus $1.00 for parking. The parking fee goes towards the Orange County Fair Speedway Drivers’ Point Fund.
