SALVATORE HOPING NEW CAR IS THE ANSWER

It’s been a really tough year for rookie big block wheel man John Salvatore, Jr.  The season began with a wicked wreck at New Egypt Speedway bending the front clip and rear clip of their 2006 Teo mountg.  Along with the help of the crew and famed modified driver Karl Freyer the team was able to put the car back together but something just wasn’t right.  Week after week the team struggled with the car and has been unable to use all of the power the stout Tony Feil big block has.  So the team has come to a decision, they’re going with a Bicknell purchased from Budd Olsen and getting some help from Jimmy Horton III on the setup.  “The team has worked so hard this year but the results just haven’t been there.  We haven’t been able to put the power we have to the ground with our car and we decided to make a change.  With Jimmy’s knowledge and the Budd Olsen’s proximity to our shop it just made sense to go with those guys. “, said Salvatore.  The new Bicknell mount, lettered by Radical Design Group and sponsored by Neary Excavating, Salvatore Automotive Service, Quality Sheet Metal & Welding, D&B Auto Parts, JER-CAR Disposal, S&M Carpet, D&D Renovations, Bridgewater Motorworks, Supreme Lithographers and Double H Photos will make its New Egypt Speedway debut this Saturday, August the 30th.  “Basically, stated Salvatore, we want to get ready for next year and what better time than right now.  With the competition and car count in the big block ranks at New Egypt this year it’s been so tough just to qualify and with our car being off it just wasn’t working.  Hopefully the new car and some setup help from Jimmy will get us back on track and help us finish out the year strong.”
